I Sell Windows

“You are where you are today because you stand on somebody’s shoulders. And wherever you are heading, you cannot get there by yourself. If you stand on the shoulders of others, you have a reciprocal responsibility to live your life so that others may stand on your shoulders. It’s the quid pro quo of life. We exist temporarily through what we take, but we live forever through what we give.” — Vernon Jordan

I Sell Windows is one Black woman's exploration of what is birthed at the collision of grief, ambition and sex. After bailing on a trip home, former actor Kacie is confronted with the unexpected death of a loved one -- propelling her into an existential voyage back to her tried and true trade of selling windows. As the days leading up to the funeral become shorter and shorter, she grapples with questions of identity, purpose and forgiveness, ultimately asking herself what she can or even deserves to become. *Kacie Rogers developed I Sell Windows while completing the Shay Fellowship sponsored by Free The Arts.

We’re taking this show on the road! I Sell Windows will be co-produced by Outside In Theatre Co. and Bottle Tree Theatre for a Los Angeles run in Spring 2024 and will then be a part of the historic Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Summer 2024! I could not be more proud of the work or feel more blessed that so many will get to see it! Producing is no easy task and we simply cannot do it alone. I Sell Windows can only continue this journey with enthusiastic supporters like you! The button below will bring you to a donation page that will contribute to artist and production needs for the Edinburgh run of I Sell Windows.

If you feel so inclined, we invite you to give from your heart and pass this link on to others who support the arts!

SHOUT

Sean is in the midst of a political scandal during his run for mayor, his neighbor Tori is trying to start a new life after the death of her mother. In a time of extreme isolation these two lost souls will share a bond through the walls connecting their apartments.

SHOUT enjoyed an extremely successful festival run! Thank you to all who contributed to making the film. We are over the moon about how it came together and all the audiences it touched!

ABOUT THE TEAM

Before they had ever made a film together, the Thicc Boy team performed original songs at a music showcase in Atwater Village. After blowing the roof off of the place, the two creatives decided to produce a film based on an original song of theirs titled: Lights Out. This would become the foundation of a long partnership.

Our first team member is Angela Mavropoulos who has managed a multimillion dollar business in Cyprus along with transitioning into being that company’s marketing and outreach leader. She received her certificate from NYU/Tisch for film and tv and is currently optioning screenplays to be produced.

Our second team member is Mason Greer who has Directed a variety of productions from film to commercial, promo movies, music videos, start up campaign videos and more. He currently works steadily as a English Dubbing Director for Netflix movies and TV shows. His work as an assistant director on multiple feature films gave him the skills early on to properly break down and manage a shoot from start to finish. His film Through the Night was included in a horror anthology series before being optioned by DirecTV and finally landing with Quentasia Studios where it is being streamed on Tubi. As a writer he optioned his screenplay "Less Than Grand Larceny" and was commissioned to write a script for a movie slated for 2023. He was a semi finalist in the Warner Bros/Blklst Incubator Challenge as well as a finalist in the Filmocracy Screenwriter Showdown.
